Speaker BioMr. Yoghourtdjian is an Advisor and Assistant Director for banking supervision and regulation at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC. In addition to his official responsibilities at the Federal Reserve Board, Mr. Yoghourtdjian serves as an Advisor to the IMF and a Consultant to the World Bank by taking part in technical assistance and advisory missions to a wide-range of economies around the world. Mr. Yoghourtdjian also served as Advisor to the Bank for International Settlements' (BIS) Financial Stability Institute during its formative years. He is the Co-Chairman of the Advisory Group of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Financial Regulators' Initiative as well as Chairman of the Consultative Group of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Regulators? Initiative which is part of the U.S. Government's Middle East Partnership Initiative. From 1984 to the end of 1989, Mr. Yoghourtdjian was a senior Commissioned Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago responsible for the assessment of safety and soundness of banks and bank holding companies. He joined the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in late 1989 and served in various capacities in the Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation before his official appointment as Advisor in January of 2006. Mr. Yoghourtdjian worked at Bank One in Wisconsin prior to joining the Federal Reserve. He has taught at Gateway College in Wisconsin and lectured at many other universities. Mr. Yoghourtdjian is the recipient of the University of Wisconsin's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award as well as the recipient of the Federal Reserve Board's Special Achievement Award.
On November 16, 2012, Mr. Yoghourtdjian was honored as the Man of the Year by the Union or Arab Banks during its annual gathering in Beirut. He is the first non-Arab to be conferred such an honor.

He started his career with Barclays Bank PLC before joining Carreker Ltd, in 1999, as Manager of their EMEA Risk and Compliance group. Throughout his career Andy has focused on the Financial Crime, Payment and Exception processing.
During his 8 year career with Carreker Andy was responsible for the growth of their international financial crime business with software installations representing sixteen clients in the UK, Northern and Republic of Ireland, as well as South Africa. Attachments to Carreker's USA Product Management Group, also gave Andy exposure to the USA and ASIAPAC Financial Crime communities. This included the introduction and realization of benefits through the "CxC" initiative in Australia that focused on shared industry intelligence in respect of current account fraud threats. Andy has also co-authored several white papers on Employee Fraud, as part of joint vendor initiatives organized by the Americas, Santa Fe Group.
